Trump and his wife, Melania, will begin the day by having tea with Joe and Jill Biden. This will take place after a service at St. John’s Episcopal Church. It marks the start of a new chapter and a farewell to the previous administration.

The inauguration will commence with performances by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Combined Choirs and "The President’s Own" US Marine Band. Amy Klobuchar will call the event to order. Oath of Office for Trump and Vance
Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh will administer the oath to Vice President JD Vance. Following that, Chief Justice John Roberts will swear in Donald Trump. Before the oaths, Carrie Underwood will perform.
Formal Farewell to Biden and Harris
After the swearing-in, there will be a formal farewell for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. This will mark their official departure from the Capitol.
Presidential Parade Follows Oath
At 3 p.m., a parade organized by the Task Force-National Capital Region will take place at Capitol One Arena. Trump has promised to join the crowd after taking his oath.
Star Performances Highlight Ceremony
Carrie Underwood will sing "America the Beautiful" with the Armed Forces Chorus and the United States Naval Academy Glee Club. Christopher Macchio will then perform the national anthem. Lee Greenwood will sing "God Bless the USA" before Trump’s oath.
Inaugural Luncheon in Statuary Hall
Following the ceremony, Trump will join guests for the traditional Inaugural Luncheon in the Statuary Hall. The meal, hosted by the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies, will include a three-course menu featuring seafood, meat, and dessert.
Evening Inaugural Balls Conclude the Day
The day will end with several inaugural balls. The Commander in Chief Ball will feature Rascal Flatts and Parker McCollum, while the Liberty Ball will have Nelly, Jason Aldean, and The Village People. Gavin DeGraw will perform at the Starlight Ball, attended by key donors. Trump will speak at all three events, concluding a day of tradition and celebration.
