India’s women’s hockey team triumphed 3-2 over England in a thrilling match. The game, played in the evening, saw both teams moving at a fast pace despite the earlier heat.

Strong Start for India

India quickly took control. Vaishnavi Vitthal Phalke opened the scoring with a penalty corner in the first few minutes. England responded when Darcy Bourne scored a tap-in goal at the back post in the 12th minute.

Deepika’s Milestone Goal

India regained the lead with a stunning drag flick by Deepika in the 25th minute. This goal marked her 50th cap, and it gave India a 2-1 advantage at halftime.

England Pressures in Second Half

The second half was intense. England upped the pressure, and India’s goalkeeper Savita had to make several saves. In the 58th minute, Fiona Crackles equalized for England, seemingly sending the game to a shootout.

Navneet Kaur Seals the Win

But India wasn’t done yet. In the final minute, Navneet Kaur unleashed a powerful shot from the top of the circle. Her goal in the 59th minute gave India a dramatic 3-2 win. The crowd celebrated the late victory.
