Three Bus Explosions Rock Tel Aviv in Suspected Terror Attack
Three buses exploded in Tel Aviv’s Bat Yam area in a suspected terror attack, prompting heightened security and transport suspensions.

Three buses exploded in Tel Aviv’s Bat Yam area on Thursday. Police are treating the incident as a "suspected terror attack," according to The Times of Israel. Fortunately, no one was injured since the buses were parked at the time.

Explosions During National Mourning

The attack occurred while Israel was mourning the return of four hostages’ bodies from Gaza. Meanwhile, police spokesperson Aryeh Doron stated that security forces were actively searching for more explosive devices. “Our forces are still scouring the area,” Doron told Channel 12.

Additionally, he suggested that the attackers might have set the timers incorrectly. “We may be lucky if, indeed, the terrorists set these timers to the wrong hour. But it’s too early to determine,” he said.

More Bombs Discovered

Moreover, authorities found two other bombs that failed to detonate. In addition, another explosive device was discovered on a different bus. As a result, security forces remain on high alert and continue searching for suspects.

Public Transport Suspended

Due to security concerns, Transport Minister Miri Regev ordered the suspension of all bus, train, and light rail services. Furthermore, security teams began checking for additional explosives across the country.

Possible Link to the West Bank

According to police, the bombs resembled those used in previous attacks in the West Bank. Notably, local media reported that one device contained a message reading, "Revenge from Tulkarem," referring to a recent Israeli military operation.

Military Increases Operations

Following the attack, Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz instructed the military to intensify operations in refugee camps. Consequently, security forces are actively investigating and searching for those responsible.
