Rohit Shetty Denies Fallout with Shah Rukh Khan

In a recent interview with Komal Nahta on his Game Changers podcast, Rohit Shetty addressed the speculation about a fallout with Shah Rukh Khan after Dilwale’s box office performance. He firmly stated, “Nahi aisa kuch nahi (There's nothing like that).”

Rohit explained, “Ek respect hai humare beech me aur Dilwale ke baad ye hua ki immediately phir humne humare khud ki production house kholi. Humne decide kiya ki hum khud ki filmein banayenge. Agar loss bhi ho to humara ho, jabki loss nahi hua tha (We have mutual respect. After Dilwale, we opened our own production house. We decided to produce our own films. If we faced a loss, it would be on us. But Dilwale didn’t make a loss).” This clarification shows that their professional relationship remains intact, despite the film’s performance.

Additionally, Rohit highlighted that Dilwale was a big hit overseas. The film, produced by Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan under their Red Chillies Entertainment banner, faced stiff competition from Bajirao Mastani, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, during its December 2015 release.

Strong Industry Bonds

On another note, Rohit spoke warmly about his close relationships within the industry. He shared that he shares a special bond with Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, and Deepika Padukone. Notably, he called Ajay his "elder brother." He also acknowledged Deepika's dedication, revealing that she re-shot the final schedule of Singham while she was four months pregnant.

Rohit’s Recent Success

Meanwhile, Rohit Shetty’s latest film, Singham Again, has been a massive box office success. It is the third installment in the Singham series and part of his Cop Universe, which includes Simmba and Sooryavanshi. This continues his successful streak in the action genre.

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan is preparing for his upcoming film, King. This will mark the first time he shares the screen with his daughter, Suhana Khan. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film also features Abhishek Bachchan and Abhay Verma, adding to the anticipation surrounding the project.
