People Magazine has taken a bold step. It named 62-year-old Demi Moore as the most beautiful woman of 2025. This choice breaks the usual link between beauty and youth.
Demi Graces the Cover
On Wednesday, the magazine revealed its May 5 issue. Demi Moore appeared on the digital cover. She also received the top honor of “most beautiful woman.” Notably, at 62, she is one of the oldest to receive this title.
In the cover story, Demi spoke honestly about body image. She said, “I have a greater appreciation for all that my body has been through that brought me to now. It doesn’t mean that sometimes I look in the mirror and don’t go, ‘Oh God, I look old,’ or ‘Oh, my face is falling’ — I do. But I can accept that that’s where I’m at today, and I know the difference today is that it doesn’t define my value or who I am.”
Her Comeback Gains Praise
Over the past year, Demi returned to the spotlight. Her film The Substance earned praise from critics. As a result, she received an Oscar nomination and won a Golden Globe. This marked a strong comeback in her career.
She Talks About Her Past Struggles
Earlier in her life, Demi struggled with her body image. She admitted she used to be very hard on herself. However, things are different now.
She explained, “Now I have a much more kind of intuitive, relaxed relationship with my body. I trust when it tells me it needs something to eat, that it’s thirsty. I listen to my body today, and I have a lot less fear. When I was younger, I felt like my body was betraying me. And so I just tried to control it. And now I don’t operate from that place. It’s a much more aligned relationship.”
Her Journey to Stardom
Demi’s rise to fame started early. She was born in 1962. First, she worked as a model. Then, as a teenager, she acted in General Hospital. Later, she became a star with films like Ghost, A Few Good Men, and Indecent Proposal. In 1996, she became the world’s highest-paid actress with Striptease.
For much of the 2000s, she took on supporting roles. But in 2024, she returned in a big way with The Substance.
