Princess Catherine’s New Wax Figure Unveiled in London
Madame Tussauds unveiled a new wax figure of Princess Catherine, styled as a future queen, alongside an updated model of Prince William.

Madame Tussauds in London revealed a new wax figure of Princess Catherine on Wednesday. The museum said it created the figure “to ensure her resemblance is fit for a future queen.” The figure now stands beside wax models of Prince William, King Charles III, and Queen Camilla. This setup highlights her role within the royal family.

Inspired by a Real Outfit

Princess Catherine’s wax model wears a sparkling pink Jenny Packham gown. She also has on silver heels and a Royal Victorian Order blue sash. Madame Tussauds confirmed, “The outfit was styled in homage to the outfit worn to the annual diplomatic reception in December 2023.”

Iconic Tiara Added

Moreover, the statue features a replica of the Lover’s Knot tiara. Princess Diana’s wax figure once wore the same design in the 1980s. The model also includes the Royal Family Order of Elizabeth II and Greville Diamond Chandelier earrings.

Museum Praises the Craftsmanship

Steve Blackburn, the museum’s senior general manager, praised the studio team’s work. He said, “She has been sculpted to ensure her resemblance is fit for a future queen, alongside her dashing husband.” He also added that she was “majestically crafted by our talented studio team.”

Timing Follows Her Health News

This updated figure comes nearly 14 months after Princess Catherine, now 43, revealed her cancer diagnosis. In March 2024, she shared that she had started chemotherapy. Her announcement shocked the public, especially since it came shortly after King Charles III, 76, also confirmed his cancer diagnosis. While the King continues treatment, Kate announced she is now in remission.

Prince William's Figure Also Updated

At the same time, the museum gave Prince William’s wax figure a new look. He now wears a black Ede & Ravenscroft tuxedo with a white bow tie. The statue also features replicas of his Order of the Garter sash, star, and army medals.
