A skydiving plane crashed on Sunday afternoon in Tullahoma, Tennessee. The incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. at the Tullahoma Regional Airport, located just south of Nashville.

The DeHaviland DH-6 Twin Otter had 20 people onboard. According to city spokesperson Lyle Russell, “There were no casualties.”

Several Injured, Emergency Help Arrives Quickly

As a result of the crash, several people suffered injuries. “Three were sent for medical treatment via helicopter and one sent by ground transport for more serious injuries to local hospitals,” Russell said. Meanwhile, first responders treated others with minor injuries at the scene.

No Ground Damage

Fortunately, the crash caused no harm to anyone on the ground. In addition, airport buildings remained untouched. “No ground facilities or airport facilities were damaged and there were no injuries reported from the ground,” Russell confirmed.

Authorities Begin Investigation

Soon after the crash, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) launched an investigation. At the same time, the Tennessee Highway Patrol posted on X (formerly Twitter) that its troopers were helping local police at the site.

Photos Reveal Extent of Damage

Images shared by the highway patrol showed the wrecked aircraft. The plane's nose had dug into the grass. Moreover, the tail and one wing had broken off. Police cars with flashing lights surrounded the crash scene.
