The trailer of Special Ops 2.0 delivers intense action and a gripping intro. Releasing on July 11, 2025, on JioHotstar, the show raises expectations.
It serves as a *sequel to Special Ops (2020) and a spin-off of *Special Ops 1.5: The Himmat Story (2021). As expected, Kay Kay Menon returns as Himmat Singh. Alongside him, Karan Tacker, Vinay Pathak, Muzammil Ibrahim, Saiyami Kher, and Meher Vij reprise their roles.
Additionally, Prakash Raj and Tahir Raj Bhasin join the cast. Notably, Tahir plays the antagonist this season. Meanwhile, the new storyline focuses on cyber-terrorism. The production team shot the series in Budapest, Turkey, and Georgia.
Saiyami Kher Reflects on Her Journey
While speaking at the trailer launch, Saiyami Kher recalled how Season 1 changed her career path. She said, "Since the five years since the first season, I've played a police officer, a firefighter, a cricketer and much more. The way I was portrayed in Season 1 opened the doors for a variety of roles for me."
However, she expressed one regret. "My only complaint is that I could not have any scenes with KK sir, as he was in Mumbai while we were shooting in the fancy locations."
Moreover, Saiyami shared her love for action roles. She remarked, "But I love playing action characters where I can beat up the men. I think women can play these roles so well because after all the catcalling we experience on a daily basis, we would love to be able to beat up more of them!"

Vinay Pathak Brings Laughter to the Launch
Meanwhile, Vinay Pathak lightened the mood with his usual humor. When Karan Tacker complained about filming in 5-degree weather at 3 a.m., Vinay quickly responded. He joked that real hardship was “facing the heat with KK in Mumbai Central.”
