A serious theft hit Beyoncé’s tour team just before her Atlanta shows. Thieves stole unreleased songs, private concert plans, and confidential footage from a rental car linked to her staff. According to an Atlanta Police report, this incident took place on July 8, two days before the singer’s “Cowboy Carter” tour began its four-night stop at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Sensitive Tour Data Stolen
The stolen items were stored on five thumb drives. These contained unreleased music tracks, show setlists, and other key materials for her ongoing tour. These drives, along with two MacBook laptops, Apple headphones, designer clothing, and personal belongings, were stolen from a 2024 Jeep Wagoneer. The car was being used by Beyoncé’s choreographer Christopher Grant and dancer Diandre Blue.
How the Theft Happened
Grant and Blue had parked their rental vehicle outside a popular Atlanta food hall around 8:09 p.m. An hour later, they returned to discover that the rear window had been smashed and two suitcases were missing. Grant told police that “he was also carrying some personal sensitive information for the musician Beyoncé.”
Surveillance Footage and Suspect Identified
Police found security footage showing the theft in action. Investigators identified a possible getaway vehicle – a red 2025 Hyundai Elantra. Officers also recovered some light fingerprints from the vehicle. Using digital tracking, police followed signals from the missing electronics to a nearby area, although it remains unclear if the sensitive stolen data has been recovered.
The Atlanta Police Department confirmed that they have secured an arrest warrant for a suspect, but their identity has not yet been shared with the public.
Beyoncé’s Tour Continues
Beyoncé’s “Cowboy Carter” tour, which started in April, is drawing huge crowds across the U.S. and Europe. After finishing her Atlanta shows, Beyoncé is scheduled to conclude the North American leg of the tour with two final performances in Las Vegas later this month.
