BTS has officially ended their break. After all members finished their mandatory military service, the K-pop group released a new live album titled Permission to Dance On Stage – Live on July 18. This marks their first release in three years and their full return as a seven-member unit. Although the album features older hits, fans showed huge excitement over the group's comeback.
Fans Choose BTS Over All Other Artists
A report by Billboard proved BTS' strong fan power. In a poll published by the outlet on July 18, music fans were asked to vote for their favourite release of the week. BTS easily won the poll, securing 94 per cent of the votes. Alex Warren’s album You’ll Be Alright Kid received only 2.03 per cent. Other artists like Jessie Murph, Zach Bryan, and Nine Inch Nails got less than 1 per cent each.
Live Album Highlights Famous Hits
BTS’ live album is named after their successful 2021 Permission to Dance tour. The album features 22 songs and runs for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Popular tracks like DNA, Idol, Fake Love, Dynamite, and Butter are included. Additionally, BTS released a digital package called Permission to Dance On Stage – Seoul, which contains their live performance in Seoul along with exclusive behind-the-scenes photos.
Band Prepares New Album and World Tour
BTS shared more good news with fans earlier this month. During a Weverse live event, the group announced that they are working together on a brand-new album. This new project is expected to release in spring 2026. According to their statement, “We’ll be releasing a new BTS album in the spring of next year. Starting in July, all seven of us will begin working closely together on new music. Since it will be a group album, it will reflect each member’s thoughts and ideas.” Currently, BTS members RM, Jin, J-Hope, Suga, Jimin, V, and Jungkook are in Los Angeles, where they are preparing for both the new album and a world tour.
