Men’s Hockey Asia Cup 2025: India Storms into Final with 7–0 Win Over China
India crushed China 7–0 in the Super 4 stage of the Asia Cup 2025, securing a spot in the final and direct qualification for the 2026 Hockey World Cup.

India produced a dominant performance to crush China 7–0 in their last Super 4 match at the Hero Men's Asia Cup 2025 on September 6 at the Rajgir Sports Complex in Bihar. This massive win sealed India's place in the final, where they will face defending champions Korea.

Early Lead Sets the Tone

India started aggressively and broke the deadlock in the 4th minute. Shilanand Lakra struck the opening goal after a perfectly coordinated attack, giving the hosts an early edge.

Quick Double Strikes

Just three minutes later, Dilpreet Singh doubled India's lead in the 7th minute. Mandeep Singh added a third goal in the 18th minute, pushing India firmly ahead at 3–0 by the end of the first quarter.

Second-Half Dominance

India returned after halftime with the same attacking intensity. Rajkumar Pal scored in the 37th minute to make it 4–0. Two minutes later, Sukhjeet Singh found the net again, stretching the lead to 5–0.

Abhishek Nain sealed the win with back-to-back goals in the 46th and 50th minutes. His clinical finishing completed a thumping 7–0 victory for India.

Securing a World Cup Spot

This commanding win not only booked India's spot in the Asia Cup final but also guaranteed their qualification for the 2026 FIH Hockey World Cup. The winner of the Asia Cup earns a direct entry, and India’s performance confirmed their place among the elite teams.

India will now face Korea in the final, aiming to reclaim the Asia Cup title and continue their dominant run.
