Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday criticized the Congress and RJD over the issue of infiltration in Bihar. Speaking at a public rally in Purnea, he said the opposition not only threatens Bihar’s honour but also its identity.
“Today, a huge demographic crisis has arisen due to infiltrators in Seemanchal and Eastern India. People of Bihar, Bengal, Assam and many states are worried about the safety of their sisters and daughters," Modi said.
He warned that every infiltrator would have to leave the country. “Today, from this land of Purnea, I want to explain one thing to these people clearly. RJD and Congress people, listen to me with open ears. Whoever is an infiltrator will have to go. It is the firm responsibility of the NDA to stop infiltration," he added.
The Prime Minister accused the opposition of supporting infiltrators. “These people have been saving them and shamelessly raising slogans and taking out yatras to save infiltrators who have come from abroad. These people want to put both the resources and security of Bihar and the country at stake," he said.
Modi challenged Congress and RJD leaders to protect infiltrators. “No matter how much effort you put in to save the infiltrators, we will continue to work on the resolve of removing the infiltrators…This is Modi’s guarantee. Action will be taken against the infiltrators and the country will also see its good results," he said.

He also promised that Bihar’s people would give a strong reply to the Congress and RJD in the upcoming state assembly elections.
PM Condemns Congress Over Beedi Row
The Prime Minister criticized the Congress for a controversial social media post by its Kerala unit that mocked Bihar. He said the opposition never misses a chance to defame the state.
“Recently, the people of Congress compared the state with a Beedi (tobacco), which is a direct insult to Bihar. Today, they are not able to digest the development of Bihar. Congress and RJD never stay back to defame the state," Modi said.
The post, now deleted, had stated, “Bihar and Bidi start with B," apparently mocking Modi’s style of using alliteration. The phrasing sparked political outrage and gave the BJP fresh ammunition against the opposition alliance.
PM Modi Launches Rs 36,000 Crore Projects in Bihar
Besides addressing political issues, PM Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation for several development projects worth over Rs 36,000 crore. He inaugurated a new airport terminal in north Bihar, fulfilling the region’s long-standing demand for better air connectivity. He also launched the National Makhana Board, announced in the Union Budget earlier this year.
Further, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for a 3 x 800 MW thermal power project in Pirpainti, Bhagalpur, worth Rs 25,000 crore, marking Bihar’s largest private sector investment.
He also initiated Phase 1 of the Kosi-Mechi Intra-State River Link Project, valued at over Rs 2,680 crore. Additionally, Modi participated in Griha Pravesh ceremonies, providing homes to 35,000 rural beneficiaries under PM Awaas Yojana-Gramin and 5,920 urban beneficiaries under PM Awaas Yojana-Urban. He personally handed over keys to some of the beneficiaries.
Political and Development Focus
During the rally, PM Modi combined political criticism with promises of development. He highlighted the NDA’s focus on security, infrastructure, and welfare schemes, while condemning the opposition for their alleged support to infiltrators and derogatory remarks about Bihar.
