Rahul Gandhi Shows ‘H Files’, Accuses BJP of ‘Vote Chori’ in Haryana Elections
Rahul Gandhi accused the BJP and Election Commission of large-scale voter fraud in Haryana, claiming fake voters turned Congress’s victory into a loss.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi renewed his “vote chori” charge in Haryana. On Wednesday, he held a fresh press conference in New Delhi, where he showed what he called proof of fake voting.

He displayed a photo of a Brazilian model, saying her image appeared 22 times across polling booths under different names — Seema, Sweety, Saraswati, Rashmi, and Vilma.

“Who is this lady? What is her name? Where does she come from? But she votes 22 times in Haryana, at 10 different booths, and has multiple names... But turns out she is actually a Brazilian model,” Gandhi said.

He alleged that this was part of a centralised plan to manipulate the 2024 Haryana Assembly elections.

Launch of “The H Files”

Rahul Gandhi launched what he called “The H Files”, claiming it proved that the Election Commission (EC) worked “at the behest of the ruling BJP to steal votes.”

Speaking at the Congress headquarters, he declared, “We are pretty sure that a plan was put in motion to convert Congress’ landslide victory into a loss. I want the young people, Gen Z of India, to understand this clearly because this is about your future." He added, "I am questioning the EC and the democratic process in India — and I am doing it with 100% proof.”

Gandhi said the Congress “would have swept” the Haryana polls if not for fake votes.

Gandhi Cites Data to Back His Claim

Citing alleged electoral data, Gandhi claimed there were 25 lakh fake or invalid voters in Haryana. The state has a total of 2 crore voters.

“That means one in every eight voters is fake — 12.5%,” he said. Rahul Gandhi added, “This includes 5.21 lakh duplicate voters, 93,174 invalid voters, and 19.26 lakh bulk voters.”

He said Congress lost the election by only 22,000 votes, calling it a “theft of democracy.” He also claimed one image was used for 223 votes, showing the Brazilian model’s picture as an example.

Targeting Chief Minister Nayab Saini

Rahul Gandhi also targeted Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini. He said, “Please notice the smile on his face and the ‘vyavastha’ he talks about. This was two days after the election when everyone was saying Congress was sweeping the polls.”

According to Gandhi, this reflected how the BJP “used the system” to change the election result.

Election Commission Rejects Allegations

The Election Commission quickly rejected Gandhi’s claims. Officials said there were no formal appeals against the voter lists in Haryana.

An EC official asked, “What were the agents of Congress doing at the polling stations?” The official added that if Congress suspected fake voting, its polling agents should have raised objections on the spot.

Moreover, the EC questioned Gandhi’s stand on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter rolls. “Is Rahul Gandhi now supporting the SIR, which removes duplicate, dead and shifted voters along with verification of citizenship, or is he opposing it?” the official asked.

Gandhi’s Third “Vote Chori” Press Meet

This was Rahul Gandhi’s third press conference on alleged voter fraud. Earlier, he accused the EC of mass voter deletions and additions and promised to reveal a “hydrogen bomb” of proof.

Now, through “The H Files,” he claims to have exposed how fake votes allegedly helped the BJP win the Haryana election.
