Rapper Ice Spice and Indianapolis Colts cornerback Ahmed “Sauce” Gardner have been the talk of social media since February. Fans began speculating about their relationship after several public appearances together. In September, Ice Spice confirmed that she had dated the NFL player.
How It All Began
The rumors started when a TikTok video went viral showing a fan dancing to Ice Spice’s hit track Boy’s a Liar Pt. 2 while Gardner stood beside her on an escalator. The clip quickly caught fans’ attention, sparking widespread speculation online.
Later, Gardner shared in an interview on The Shop that he first met the rapper in 2024. He mentioned seeing her on Instagram and said she was “snapping.” Over time, the pair were seen attending events and parties together. Ice Spice was even spotted at a New York Jets game during the 2024–25 season when Gardner played for the team.
Their Social Media Moments
The couple fueled more rumors when both of them posted and later deleted photos of each other on Instagram. In April 2025, Gardner shared multiple pictures with Ice Spice next to a silver Rolls-Royce, captioned with a Statue of Liberty emoji. The post was later deleted.
Around the same time, Ice Spice posted a cozy mirror selfie with the football player but removed it shortly after. These now-deleted posts only strengthened fans’ belief that the two were romantically involved.
Ice Spice Confirms They Were Dating
In September, Ice Spice finally cleared the air during her appearance on Baby, This is Keke Palmer. When host Keke Palmer asked if her Instagram post confirmed the relationship, the rapper replied, “Yeah, I did confirm that on my Instagram.”
She continued, “I didn’t think it would be such a big deal, but like, it really is a big deal … it was fun. It was cute. We’re still friends. We were just dating.”
Speaking about her approach to relationships, Ice Spice said she’s affectionate and enjoys quality time and gifts. However, she added, “I’m really focused on me. I always put myself first; that’s what it’s like dating me.”
What Sauce Gardner Said About Her
While Gardner hasn’t shared many details, he once compared their experiences, saying they had much in common. “She is from New York. I play in New York,” Gardner told TMZ. “She’s talented, really talented when it comes to what she does. Same thing for me. Two people that get hated on that are really good at what we do. So you know we got a lot in common,” he added.
Smooth Transition After the Buzz
Despite the rumors and social media attention, both Ice Spice and Gardner have kept things friendly. The rapper made it clear they remain on good terms, and both continue focusing on their careers — one in music and the other on the football field.
