After Smriti Mandhana’s Father Suffers Heart Attack, Palash Muchhal Also Rushed to Hospital
Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal have postponed their wedding after both faced health issues, with Mandhana’s father hospitalized.

Indian women’s cricket star Smriti Mandhana and music composer Palash Muchhal have postponed their wedding. The ceremony was scheduled for Sunday, November 23, in Sangli.

The decision came after Mandhana’s father, Shrinivas Mandhana, fell ill just before the wedding. Smriti shares a close bond with her father, who has supported her throughout her cricket career. She decided to delay the wedding until he recovers.

Palash Muchhal Also Hospitalized

On Monday, November 24, Palash Muchhal was rushed to a hospital after his health worsened. According to NDTV, “Palash had to go to a private hospital for treatment due to a viral infection and increased acidity. However, the issue wasn’t serious. In fact, after receiving treatment, Palash has already departed the hospital for the hotel."

Update on Smriti’s Father

Tuhin Mishra, Mandhana’s manager, said her father fell ill early Sunday morning.

Mishra explained, "Smriti’s father, Mr. Shrinivas Mandhana, was having breakfast when his health started deteriorating. We waited, hoping he would recover, but it didn’t improve. So we called an ambulance, and he was taken to the hospital. He is under observation."

Mishra added, “Smriti is very close to her father. She has decided to postpone the marriage until he is fine. The doctor has said he will need to stay in the hospital for now. We are all in shock and hope he recovers quickly because it’s a big occasion for everyone."

He requested privacy for the family, saying, “Smriti wants her father to be okay first, and later she will get married. Please respect the family’s privacy at this time."

Medical Update

Mandhana’s family doctor, Dr. Naman Shah, said Shrinivas experienced left-sided chest pain, called ‘angina’ in medical terms, around 1:30 pm.

Dr. Shah told PTI, "When the symptoms appeared, his son called me. We sent an ambulance, and he was shifted to the hospital. ECG and other reports showed elevated cardiac enzymes, so we need to keep him under observation."

The family and fans now focus on his recovery, putting health before the wedding.
