Actors Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna have announced that their upcoming wedding will be officially titled “The Wedding of VIROSH,” a name inspired by their fans.

Wedding Named After Fan-Created Identity

The couple revealed that the name did not come from event planners or family traditions. Instead, it originated years ago when fans combined their names to create “VIROSH.” Over time, the nickname became widely associated with their bond. Now, the couple has chosen to adopt it as the official title of their wedding.

By doing so, Vijay and Rashmika have dedicated their special day to their supporters. They said the gesture recognises the love and encouragement fans have shown them over the years.

Sharing the news on Instagram Stories, the couple posted a joint note confirming their wedding plans. They wrote:

“Our Dearest loves, Before we made any plans, before we chose anything for ourselves—you were already there. With so much love, you gave us a name. You called us ‘VIROSH’. So today — with full hearts, we name our coming together in your honour. We would like to name it —‘The Wedding of VIROSH’. Thank you for holding us with so much love. You are a part of us — always. The announcement turns what would have been a private ceremony into a shared emotional moment. The couple’s decision highlights their intention to include fans symbolically in this milestone.

Wedding Ceremony in Udaipur

According to reports, the couple will hold an intimate wedding ceremony on February 26 on the outskirts of Udaipur. The venue is said to be The Mementoes by ITC Hotels, located in the scenic Aravalli Range.

They have reportedly chosen to keep the ceremony strictly private. Only close family members and selected friends will attend. Sources suggest that they have avoided inviting members of the film industry in order to maintain the personal nature of the event.

After the Udaipur ceremony, the couple is expected to host a grand reception in Hyderabad on March 4, 2026. The event will reportedly take place at Taj Krishna. Several Tollywood and Bollywood personalities are likely to attend. Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is also expected to be present.

Rashmika and Vijay first met while working on the film Geetha Govindam in 2018. They later reunited for Dear Comrade in 2019.
