After a gap of four years, Super Dancer is finally making a comeback with Season 5. The dance reality show promises to entertain viewers with young talents full of energy and passion. It will premiere on July 19, and the shooting is already in progress.
Shilpa Shetty’s Playful Moment with Paparazzi
Shilpa Shetty, who has resumed her role as a judge on the show, arrived on the sets wearing a vibrant pink Rajasthani lehenga. Before heading inside, she shared a funny moment with one of the paparazzi.
In a now-viral video, Shilpa noticed a paparazzo and called out, “Tu aa idhar (You come here).” As she approached him, she added, “Nahi, mujhe tera muh dekhna hai (No, I want to see your mouth).”
He quickly covered his mouth, claiming he had quit tobacco. But his friends teased him, saying he still hides it in his bag and uses it outside Film City. Laughing, Shilpa responded, “Kaise dost hai (What kind of friends are these)?” Before walking inside, she firmly advised him again, “Khana band kar (Stop eating tobacco).”
Judges and Format for Super Dancer Chapter 5
Shilpa will be joined by Geeta Kapur and Marzi Pestonji on the judges' panel. Marzi is replacing Anurag Basu and will be appearing on the show for the first time.
Fan-favorite Paritosh Tripathi, also known as Mamaji, will return as the host. His witty banter and comic timing are expected to bring extra fun to the show.
This season will feature 12 exceptionally talented children, each paired with a well-known choreographer. However, what makes this season different is its theme it will celebrate the mothers of the contestants, honoring their support and sacrifices.

Super Dancer Chapter 5 will air every Saturday and Sunday at 8 PM on Sony TV. Viewers can also stream episodes anytime on Sony LIV, the network’s digital platform.
Shilpa’s Next Big Project: KD The Devil
Along with television, Shilpa Shetty is also preparing for her Kannada film KD The Devil. The film, directed by Prem, is based on real events from Bengaluru in the 1970s and 80s. It’s an action-packed story with a powerful storyline.
The cast includes Dhruva Sarja, Sanjay Dutt, Nora Fatehi, Reeshma Nanaiah, V. Ravichandran, and Ramesh Aravind. The technical team boasts William David as cinematographer, Arjun Janya as music composer, and Sanketh Achar as editor. Though the shooting is complete, the official release date is yet to be announced.
