Israel Warns Gaza Ahead of Massive Assault, Accepts US Ceasefire Plan
Israel warned Gaza residents to evacuate as it prepared for a massive assault while accepting a US-backed ceasefire proposal.

Israel on Monday ordered Palestinians in Gaza to evacuate immediately. It warned of a massive air and ground assault, calling it a “mighty hurricane.”

At the same time, Israel demanded that Hamas release all remaining hostages. Israeli forces bombed Gaza City heavily and destroyed old armored vehicles in the streets to block Hamas fighters.

Defence Minister Israel Katz issued a direct threat on X, “A mighty hurricane will hit the skies of Gaza City today, and the roofs of the terror towers will shake. This is a final warning to the murderers and rapists of Hamas in Gaza and in the luxury hotels abroad: Release the hostages and lay down your weapons – or Gaza will be destroyed, and you will be annihilated.”

Netanyahu Urges Civilians to Flee

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu urged Gaza residents to leave now. He said the city was no longer safe as Israeli forces prepared for an invasion.

Later on Monday, Israeli jets hit a fourth high-rise building in four days. AFP footage showed the Al-Ruya tower collapsing seconds after an airstrike.

Civilians fled in panic, carrying whatever they could as buildings crumbled around them. However, Israel continued its strikes despite repeated calls from Western nations and aid groups to stop the bombing.

Israel Accepts US Ceasefire Deal

While launching attacks, Israel also accepted a US-backed ceasefire proposal.

Foreign Minister Gideon Saar announced the decision in Budapest at a press conference with Hungary’s foreign minister. He said Israel was ready to end the war if Hamas released hostages and gave up its weapons, according to Reuters.

Once the ceasefire begins, talks will start immediately, Saar said. Axios reported the negotiations will focus on two main points:

  • Israel wants Hamas fully disarmed.

  • Hamas demands complete Israeli withdrawal from Gaza.

Hamas Reviews the Proposal

Meanwhile, Hamas is studying the plan, which the US delivered on Sunday. President Donald Trump warned that this was Hamas’ “last chance” to agree to peace and prevent total destruction.

Gaza Braces for Invasion

As talks continue, the situation in Gaza grows more desperate. Families face a critical choice — flee their homes now or face Israel’s full military assault.

The looming offensive leaves Gaza residents fearful and uncertain, even as hopes for a ceasefire remain fragile.
