Tejashwi Plans Inclusive Cabinet with Multiple Deputy Chief Ministers
Tejashwi Yadav said his government will include Muslim and Dalit deputy chief ministers if the opposition wins in Bihar.

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has promised a more inclusive government if the grand alliance wins the Bihar elections. He said he plans to appoint multiple deputy chief ministers, including a Muslim and a Dalit.

In an interview with India Today, Tejashwi said, “The concerns raised by various sections will be addressed.” He added that his goal is to give fair representation to all communities.

Repeats His Earlier Stand

Tejashwi had earlier made similar remarks in an interview with Hindustan Times. He supported Congress leader Ashok Gehlot’s idea of having multiple deputy chief ministers.

He also targeted the BJP for objecting to the idea. “The BJP has issues with a representative from EBC being declared a Deputy CM face. Their IT cell has been trolling us for not naming a representative from a community they would otherwise call infiltrators,” Tejashwi said.

He did not confirm any specific names but said, “We are not ruling out that possibility. Let's wait and watch. It can be from any community.”

Gehlot’s Role in Alliance Unity

Congress leader Ashok Gehlot joined the INDI bloc’s talks last month when seat-sharing disputes threatened to split the alliance. He urged allies not to treat “friendly contests” on some seats as conflict. His mediation helped the bloc move forward with unity.

Bihar Ready for Polls

Bihar will vote for 243 assembly seats in two phases — on November 6 and November 11. Counting will take place on November 14. The ruling NDA and the opposition Mahagathbandhan have both released their manifestos, focusing on jobs and development.

Grand Alliance Offers Jobs and Free Power

The Mahagathbandhan’s manifesto, Bihar ka Tejashwi Pran, promises jobs, free electricity, and the old pension scheme. It says one member from every family will get a government job within 20 months of forming the government.

NDA Focuses on Employment and Empowerment

The NDA’s Sankalp Patra promises 10 million jobs and support for Extremely Backward Classes (EBCs). It pledges ₹10 lakh financial help for EBCs to start businesses and a commission to study their socio-economic progress.

It also promises ₹2,000 monthly for Scheduled Caste students in higher education and a venture fund for entrepreneurship.

Tejashwi Yadav’s plan to appoint multiple deputy chief ministers reflects his push for social balance in Bihar politics. His proposal aims to represent all communities and strengthen the opposition’s image of inclusivity. With both alliances offering big promises, Bihar’s election battle is set to be intense.
