Quick Response but Russell Strikes Again
The Dragons started the second half with intent. They pulled one goal back through Blake Govers, who converted a penalty corner in the 32nd minute.
However, the relief was short-lived. HIL GC won three consecutive penalty corners soon after. The Dragons defended well initially, but Kane Russell struck again on the third attempt. His goal restored HIL GC’s two-goal cushion.
The Dragons improved their attacking play and created several circle entries. In the 39th minute, Thomas Sorsby showed excellent skill inside the circle and fired a slap shot, but Mazarelo stood firm once again.

The Dragons kept pushing forward. In the 53rd minute, Blake Govers tested Mazarelo again from a penalty corner, but the HIL GC goalkeeper produced another fine save.
With four minutes remaining, the Dragons reduced the margin. Mohammed Raheel sent a sharp cross from the left, and Uttam Singh finished well to make it 4–2.
