ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026: De Leede’s Heroics Guide Netherlands to Easy Chase Against Namibia
Netherlands beat Namibia by seven wickets as Bas de Leede’s all-round performance guided a comfortable chase after a disciplined bowling display.

Netherlands outclassed Namibia by 7 wickets in the 10th match of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. Namibia came in to bat first and lost an early wicket. However, Jan Frylinck and Nicol Loftie-Eaton steadied the innings. They built a 50-run partnership for the second wicket.

The Netherlands bowlers kept a tight line and length. They built constant pressure on the Namibian batsmen. As a result, Namibia started losing wickets at regular intervals. Logan van Beek (2/13 in 3 overs) and Bas de Leede (2/20 in 3 overs) broke the middle order. They did not allow the batsmen to score freely. Namibia managed 156/8 in 20 overs.

During the chase, the Netherlands lost a few early wickets. Then Bas de Leede played a superb half-century. He added 70 runs with Colin Ackermann for the third wicket. This partnership pulled the game away from Namibia. The Netherlands completed the chase with 12 balls to spare. This win boosted their morale after a close loss to Pakistan in the first match.

Namibian batters lost wickets under pressure when they tried to play shots. Nicol Loftie-Eaton and Jan Frylinck batted well, but their innings were slow as per T20 standards.
