US Policies Put Allies at Risk for Israel, Says Iran Speaker Ghalibaf
Iran says several neighbouring countries have approached Tehran for new security and economic arrangements as Ghalibaf criticises US policy and calls for an independent regional order.

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said on Saturday that several neighbouring countries had contacted Tehran to discuss new security and economic arrangements in the region.

In a post on X, Ghalibaf said Iran had received “numerous messages from neighboring countries about shaping new security arrangements and economic cooperation in the region”.

According to him, the recent developments have encouraged some countries to reconsider their existing security partnerships and explore closer regional cooperation.

Ghalibaf Criticises US Policy

Ghalibaf also sharply criticised the United States and accused Washington of putting the security of its allies at risk because of its support for Israel.

“The United States put the security of every single one of its allies at such risk through bullying and pure disregard for their interests for the sake of Israel that they briefly saw their entire existence on the line,” the parliamentary speaker said.

His comments suggest that Tehran believes the recent regional tensions have weakened confidence in the US security role among some of its partners.

Iran Calls for an Independent Regional Order

Ghalibaf argued that countries in the region could achieve greater stability by developing their own security framework rather than relying heavily on outside powers.

He said a “homegrown, independent order” could help establish peace and improve regional stability.

The remarks come as moderate political voices in Iran have renewed their push for peace and reduced tensions in the region. Tehran's message also signals its interest in expanding regional security and economic cooperation while challenging the influence of the United States.

The latest statements highlight Iran's attempt to present itself as a key player in shaping a new regional security structure amid continuing geopolitical tensions.
