Trump’s Stark Warning: No Deal with Iran Could Mean Bombing
Trump warned Iran of “bombing” and possible secondary tariffs if it refuses to sign a new nuclear deal with the US.

US President Donald Trump has warned Iran of “bombing” if it refuses to sign a new deal with the United States on its nuclear program. In a phone call with NBC News, Trump stated that US and Iranian officials have held talks. However, he didn’t provide any details.

Possible Economic Sanctions

Furthermore, Trump added, “If they don’t make a deal, there will be bombing.” He also mentioned the possibility of imposing secondary tariffs, saying, “But there’s a chance that if they don’t make a deal, I will do secondary tariffs on them like I did four years ago.”

Background on the Nuclear Deal

Previously, from 2017 to 2021, Trump withdrew the US from the 2015 Iran nuclear deal. This agreement had limited Iran’s nuclear activities in exchange for lifting international sanctions. After pulling out, Trump reimposed harsh sanctions on Iran. As a result, Iran increased its uranium enrichment beyond the deal’s limits.
