IPL 2025 | RR vs LSG: Rajasthan Royals Eye Comeback Against Confident Lucknow Super Giants
Rajasthan Royals will look to end their three-match losing streak as they face a confident Lucknow Super Giants side in a must-win clash in Jaipur.

Rajasthan Royals (RR) will take on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the 36th match of IPL 2025 in Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. The match will start at 7:30 pm. Rajasthan Royals will try to break their three-match losing streak on Saturday.

So far, Rajasthan have won only two out of seven matches. As a result, they are placed eighth on the points table. In their last game, they suffered a heartbreaking loss to Delhi Capitals in a Super Over. Fortunately, Yashasvi Jaiswal has found form. He has scored back-to-back fifties. However, skipper Sanju Samson is still searching for a match-winning knock. Meanwhile, Jofra Archer is slowly returning to his best. Still, the team’s bowling remains inconsistent.

Rajasthan's Campaign Has Seen Many Ups and Downs

Initially, Rajasthan lost their opening games to Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders. Later, they bounced back by beating Chennai Super Kings and Punjab Kings. However, things went downhill again. Rajasthan lost three games in a row to Gujarat Titans, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, and Delhi Capitals. Now, they must win to stay in contention for the playoffs.

Lucknow Look More Balanced

On the other hand, Lucknow Super Giants have done better. They have won four out of seven games. Therefore, they are currently in fifth place on the points table. So far, Nicholas Pooran and Mitchell Marsh have led the batting charge. Both are among the top scorers this season.

Additionally, Aiden Markram has made important contributions. But David Miller continues to struggle for runs. Moreover, captain Rishabh Pant returned to form with a fifty in the last match. Earlier, their bowling unit was affected by injuries. However, things have improved now. In fact, Mayank Yadav could return if he clears his fitness test.

Rajasthan Hold Edge in Head-to-Head Record

Interestingly, Rajasthan Royals have dominated the past meetings. Out of five IPL matches against Lucknow, they have won four. In contrast, Lucknow have only one win against the Royals. Hence, Rajasthan will be confident playing at home.

Pitch and Weather Report

In the previous match at this venue on Sunday, April 13, RCB invited RR to bat first. The Royals responded by scoring 173 runs. However, that total fell short. RCB chased it down comfortably and won the match by 9 wickets. Therefore, fans can expect another high-scoring match on Sunday evening in the Pink City.

Meanwhile, the weather forecast looks favorable. Rain is highly unlikely to interrupt the game. Moreover, temperatures are expected to stay between 28 to 30 degrees Celsius during match hours.
