He said, “The earlier defeats have hampered the mentality,” and added that players are low in confidence. Clearly, they must regroup quickly. Another loss could end their campaign.

At the moment, only Ajinkya Rahane and Angkrish Raghuvanshi have batted well. The rest have failed to contribute. However, in bowling, Harshit Rana and Varun Chakaravarthy have delivered strong performances.

Eden Gardens Pitch May Help Spinners

Usually, Eden Gardens offers a high-scoring pitch. However, after a complaint from KKR, the surface has changed. Earlier, teams could post 220 easily. Now, scores are limited to 180-190.
