Actor Kangana Ranaut recently addressed whether she is ready to reconcile with filmmaker Karan Johar and singer Diljit Dosanjh. Kangana said she has made peace with both Karan and Diljit but clarified that she doesn't see the need to be friends with them.
Kangana's Statement on Reconciliation
Kangana stated, "I'm at peace with them. I’m completely at peace with them. When I see excellent work, whether it’s Shershaah by Karan Johar or something from Diljit, I openly appreciate it. However, I don’t think I need to make them my friends or hang out with them. I don’t hold any grudges against them."
The Kangana-Diljit Feud
Kangana and Diljit’s feud began in 2020 during the farmers’ protests. Kangana accused Diljit of inciting the protests in a tweet and suggested he disappeared after showing initial support.
Diljit countered her accusations, defending the farmers and criticizing the government’s farm laws. Their arguments played out on social media, especially on X (formerly Twitter), through a series of heated tweets.
Kangana’s Conflict with Karan Johar
In 2017, Kangana appeared on Koffee with Karan Season 5 alongside Saif Ali Khan and Shahid Kapoor. During the Rapid Fire segment, when asked who would be the villain in her biopic, Kangana pointed to Karan and called him the "flag-bearer of nepotism," leaving him shocked.
Karan later defended himself, stating that he has launched many new directors and that his decision not to work with Kangana was a choice, not because she is an outsider. Despite his defense, Kangana continued to criticize him on social media.
Kangana's Recent Comments About Karan
During her recent appearance on Indian Idol 15, Kangana was asked if she would work on a film produced by Karan’s Dharma Productions. Kangana responded, "I’m sorry to say, but Karan sir should do a movie with me. I’ll give him a very good role and make a proper film, not just a typical gossip or PR exercise. It will be a real film, and he’ll get a proper role."
