U.S. President Donald Trump and Tesla CEO Elon Musk are now locked in a public feud. As their argument played out online, users across the world—especially in India—reacted with a wave of memes.
Initially, the fight began with policy disagreements. However, it quickly turned personal. Soon after, users on social media started imagining Prime Minister Narendra Modi stepping in to call a ceasefire.

Right after the two billionaires began exchanging insults, a user on X posted, “Modi ji should announce a ceasefire between Musk & Trump.” That single post sparked a flood of similar jokes. It gained over 143,000 views.

Interestingly, these memes referred to a real-life situation. Last month, during India-Pakistan tensions, Trump publicly claimed credit for announcing a ceasefire. Although India strongly denied third-party interference, Trump repeatedly insisted he had stopped the conflict.
Therefore, the internet found the perfect link. Meme creators began using Modi’s name in the Musk-Trump clash.
Leaders, Memers, and Laughs Join In
As the meme trend grew, even politicians joined the fun. A parody account pretending to be PM Modi posted, “After a long night of talks mediated by India, I am pleased to announce that Donald Trump & Elon Musk have agreed to a FULL AND IMMEDIATE CEASEFIRE. Congratulations to both individuals on using Common Sense and Great Intelligence.”

Meanwhile, Shiv Sena MP Priyanka Chaturvedi also shared a joke. She posted Musk’s criticism of Trump and captioned it, “SOS: call for ceasefire !!”

Behind the Humor Lies Real Conflict
Despite the jokes, the situation is serious. Musk and Trump have gone from allies to rivals. Their fallout happened just days after they held a press conference together at the White House.
At that time, Musk still held a government role. He led the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), a Trump-backed agency that aimed to reduce U.S. national debt.
However, things changed quickly. Musk attacked Trump’s new tax and spending bill, calling it “a disgusting abomination” and a “massive spending bill.”
Verbal Fight Intensifies
Soon after, Trump responded. He told reporters, “I was very disappointed in Elon.”
Then, Musk hit back on X. He wrote, “Without me, Trump would have lost the election... Such ingratitude.”
In another post, he warned, “The Trump tariffs will cause a recession in the second half of this year.”

In response, Trump fired back on Truth Social, saying, “I was always surprised that Biden didn’t wipe out Musk’s government subsidies!”
