Modi Recalls Airstrikes on Terror Camps
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while speaking at a rally in Katra, Jammu and Kashmir on Friday, referred to India’s May 6 airstrikes on terror camps in Pakistan. He described the action as a major blow to Pakistani terrorists.
“Operation Sindoor will forever haunt them (Pakistan),” he said during his first visit to the Union Territory after the operation.
Deep Strikes Shocked Pakistan
Modi stressed how the Indian forces destroyed terror infrastructure deep inside enemy territory. “Whenever Pakistan will hear the 'Operation Sindoor', it will recall the shameful defeat. The Pakistani Army and terrorists would never have thought that India would attack them so deep inside their territory. Their terror infrastructure was turned into rubble in a matter of minutes," he said.
Warning Against Disrupting Peace
The Prime Minister warned that no one would be allowed to disrupt Jammu and Kashmir’s progress. “Anyone trying to derail development will have to face Narendra Modi first,” he declared.
He mentioned Adil, a pony ride operator who died in the Pahalgam terror attack while supporting his family.
People’s Spirit Sends Global Message
Modi praised the people of Jammu and Kashmir for standing strong against terrorism. “The courage shown by the people of Jammu and Kashmir has sent a strong message to the terror mindset globally,” he stated, sharing the stage with Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
Big Push for Development
Earlier, Modi flagged off the first train service to the Kashmir Valley. He also inaugurated several infrastructure projects, including the world’s highest railway bridge over the Chenab River.
Modi accused Pakistan of targeting innocent tourists in Pahalgam. He said the motive was to trigger communal violence and damage the local economy. He stated, “Pakistan is the enemy of humanity, harmony, and tourism.”
Attack on Insaniyat and Kashmiriyat
Modi blamed Pakistan for harming the values of peace and unity. "Not only that, Pakistan is also the enemy of poor's bread and butter. What happened on April 22 in Pahalgam is an example of that. Pakistan attacked 'insaniyat' and Kashmiriyat in Pahalgam.
The intent of Pakistan was to trigger communal riots in India. It wanted to strip people of Kashmir of their earnings, that's why Pakistan attacked tourism," he said.
