Trump Vows to ‘Set Free’ Los Angeles After Violent Protests Over Migrants
Trump vowed to “restore order” and “expel the illegals” after protests over immigration turned violent in downtown LA.

US President Donald Trump promised to “liberate Los Angeles” after violent clashes erupted in the city between National Guard troops and protesters opposing immigration enforcement.

Trump Delivers Strong Message

Trump quickly responded on his platform, Truth Social. He wrote, “the illegals will be expelled” and “the city would be set free.”

He further claimed, “A once great American City, Los Angeles, has been invaded and occupied by Illegal Aliens and Criminals.”

According to Trump, things got worse when protesters attacked federal officers. He added, “Now violent, insurrectionist mobs are swarming and attacking our Federal Agents to try and stop our deportation operations, But these lawless riots only strengthen our resolve."

Trump Commands Federal Action

Because of the growing violence, Trump said he had ordered federal departments to act. He instructed Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and Attorney General Pam Bondi to coordinate the response.

He made his intentions clear, writing, “Order will be restored, the Illegals will be expelled, and Los Angeles will be set free. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

Protests Turn Chaotic

Meanwhile, the unrest on the streets of LA escalated quickly. On Sunday, violence broke out again following the previous night’s tensions. Protesters lit vehicles on fire and threw fireworks at officers wearing riot gear.

Outside the Metropolitan Detention Center, demonstrators spray-painted angry slogans like “f**** ICE”** and “f**** LAPD.”**

Police Declare Emergency

Consequently, the LAPD placed the city under “tactical alert.” Later in the day, police declared an unlawful assembly in some areas. After that, they issued a dispersal order. Officers then began arresting people who refused to leave.
