As tensions rise in West Asia, US President Donald Trump declared that the United States has “complete and total control of the skies over Iran.” He made this claim on Tuesday in a Truth Social post.
Trump also said that although Iran has “good sky trackers and other defensive equipment,” none of it compares to “American made, conceived, and manufactured ‘stuff.’” He proudly added, “Nobody does it better than the good ol’ USA.”
Trump Claims US Knows Khamenei’s Location
Later, Trump issued a sharp warning to Iran. He claimed that American intelligence knows the exact hiding place of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei. According to Trump, Khamenei is “an easy target,” but the US won’t act—“at least not for now.”
In his words, “We know exactly where the so-called ‘Supreme Leader’ is hiding. He is an easy target, but is safe there — we are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now.”
Trump Warns Against Strikes on Civilians or Troops
Moreover, Trump warned Iran not to attack civilians or American forces. He stated, “We don’t want missiles shot at civilians, or American soldiers.” He added that “our patience is wearing thin,” and ended his message by saying, “Thank you for your attention to this matter!”
Trump Demands “Unconditional Surrender”
In another Truth Social post, Trump raised the stakes further by writing in all caps, “UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!” This remark triggered questions about whether the US would join Israel in directly targeting Iran’s leaders or its nuclear programme.
Trump Repeats: No Ceasefire
Earlier, while returning from Canada on Air Force One, Trump had told reporters that he didn’t support peace talks. He made it clear by saying, “I wanted a real end, not a ceasefire,” and added, “I’m not in too much of a mood to negotiate.”
US Deploys Fighter Jets to the Region
Meanwhile, the United States has started strengthening its military presence in West Asia. As reported by Reuters, US officials confirmed that F-16, F-22, and F-35 fighter jets are being deployed. Two officials explained that these aircraft are for defence, especially to intercept drones and missiles.
However, the Pentagon has not officially commented yet.
US Moves Tankers and Aircraft Carrier
Additionally, Reuters reported the movement of several tanker aircraft to Europe. At the same time, the US deployed an aircraft carrier to West Asia. These moves, according to officials, give President Trump more military options as the conflict intensifies.
US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth called the deployments “defensive in nature” and said they are meant to protect American troops from Iranian threats.
US May Send More Missile-Defense Warships
Furthermore, Reuters cited a fourth US defence official who said the US might send more Navy warships to the Eastern Mediterranean. These ships are equipped with ballistic missile defence systems.
Currently, the US already has nearly 40,000 troops in the region. The American military also operates advanced air defences, fighter jets, and warships ready to detect and stop missile attacks.
Israel Launches Its Biggest Strike on Iran
On Friday, Israel launched what it called its largest air assault on Iran. Israeli officials said the strike was necessary because Iran was close to building a nuclear weapon.
However, Iran rejected this claim. Iranian leaders insisted they are only developing nuclear technology for peaceful reasons. As a member of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, Iran maintains it has the right to enrich uranium for civilian use—not weapons.
