Israel launched another series of airstrikes on Iran on Wednesday. This time, the attacks targeted oil refineries and storage sites near Iran’s capital, Tehran. The military action marked the sixth day of nonstop fighting between the two countries.
Shortly before the airstrikes, an Israeli military spokesperson issued a public evacuation warning for a specific area inside Tehran, according to Reuters.
Massive Fire Seen Near Tehran
Soon after the warning, social media users shared visuals showing a huge fire northeast of Tehran. The blaze appeared close to the Tajrish neighborhood, which lies near the foot of the Alborz mountains.

Iran Fires Missiles at Israel
Meanwhile, explosions were also reported in Tel Aviv. A senior Israeli military official confirmed that Iran had fired around 10 ballistic missiles at Israel during the early hours of Wednesday. However, the official said, “most of the missiles were intercepted.”
Both Nations Prepare to Escalate
For six days, Israel and Iran have exchanged missile strikes. Despite the destruction, neither side has shown interest in stepping back. In fact, both nations have made it clear that they intend to escalate further.
Trump Meets Security Team in Washington
As the regional conflict intensifies, US President Donald Trump met his national security team in Washington on Tuesday. The meeting lasted over an hour and focused on the growing tension between Israel and Iran. This development has raised concerns over the possible involvement of the United States.
Trump Speaks with Netanyahu
After the security meeting, Trump had a direct conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, as confirmed by a White House official.
Trump Warns Iran, Says Leader Is “Safe for Now”
Trump also took to Truth Social to send a strong warning to Iran. He wrote, “We know exactly where the so-called 'Supreme Leader' is hiding. We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now...Our patience is wearing thin.”
He further called for Iran’s surrender, demanding it to be “unconditional.”
Although Trump has made it clear that the US does not plan to assassinate Iran’s Supreme Leader at this time, his tone suggested growing frustration with Tehran.
