Israel Strikes Iran’s Arak Nuclear Reactor
Soon after the Iranian attack, Israel launched a retaliatory strike on Iran’s Arak heavy-water nuclear facility. Western countries have long viewed this site as dangerous because it could produce plutonium for nuclear weapons.
According to Reuters, Israel attacked the site shortly after warning people in the Arak-Khondab region to evacuate.
Israel Kills Hezbollah Commander in Lebanon
In another operation, Israeli forces killed Yassin Abdel Moneim Ezzedine, a top Hezbollah artillery commander in southern Lebanon’s Litani sector.
Avichay Adraee, a military spokesperson, said that Ezzedine was behind several attacks on Israel. He was also rebuilding Hezbollah’s artillery units.
So far, Hezbollah has not made any public comment on the reported killing.
