FTI-TTP: Revolutionizing Immigration for Hassle-Free International Travel
The Fast Track Immigration – Trusted Traveller Programme simplifies international travel by allowing Indian citizens and OCI cardholders to bypass queues using automated e-gates. Launched at seven major airports, it aims to provide seamless and secure immigration clearance.
The Fast Track Immigration – Trusted Traveller Programme (FTI-TTP) is now available at seven more airports. Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched the expansion on January 16. The new locations include Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, and Cochin airports.

Instant Immigration Clearance

Amit Shah announced on X that FTI-TTP allows Indian citizens and OCI cardholders to skip queues. They can use e-gates to scan their passports and boarding passes for quick immigration clearance. This expansion follows its initial launch at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport last June.

What is FTI-TTP?

FTI-TTP simplifies the immigration process for international travelers. The Ministry of Home Affairs says it offers world-class immigration services. Initially, the program is free for Indian citizens and OCI cardholders. It aims to make travel smoother and more secure.

How to Enroll

Travelers can register online at https://ftittp.mha.gov.in. They need to fill out a form and upload documents. After registration, they must provide biometric data at the airport or FRRO. The registration is valid for five years or until the passport expires.

Required Documents

Applicants need to upload a recent passport-sized photo and a scanned copy of their passport. OCI cardholders must also upload scans of their OCI card.

How FTI-TTP Works

Registered users can use e-gates at airports. They scan their boarding pass and passport, then authenticate their biometrics. Once verified, the e-gate opens, granting immigration clearance. The program reduces human interaction and speeds up the process.

Future Plans

The government plans to extend FTI-TTP to 13 more major airports. The program will eventually include foreign nationals in its next phase.
