Cabinet Meeting Scheduled in Prayagraj
The Uttar Pradesh government has announced a cabinet meeting on January 22 in Prayagraj, the city hosting the Maha Kumbh. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, along with his cabinet ministers, will attend the meeting. The Chief Minister may also take a dip in the Sangam before the meeting. Key decisions regarding infrastructural and developmental needs of Prayagraj and other parts of the state could be discussed during the session.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Expected Visit
Earlier, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had extended an invitation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend the Kumbh. According to sources, Prime Minister Modi may visit Prayagraj Kumbh on February 8 or 9 and is expected to take a dip in the Sangam.

To ensure smooth crowd management during the Kumbh, the UP government has invited the Hyderabad Police Centre for specialized training.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh’s Participation
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh participated in the Maha Kumbh, taking a dip in the Sangam amid tight security arrangements. Following this, he will attend a meeting with the army. The Union Minister arrived in Prayagraj in the afternoon by helicopter and was welcomed by several officials.
