Jamshedpur FC triumphed 3-1 over FC Goa, with Javi Siverio scoring twice to help his team rise to second in the ISL standings.
Jamshedpur FC secured a 3-1 victory over FC Goa at the JRD Tata Sports Complex in the Indian Super League 2024-25. This win marked a milestone for Khalid Jamil, who became the first coach to defeat Manolo Marquez's FC Goa twice in a season.

Jamshedpur FC Rises to Second Place

As a result of this victory, Jamshedpur FC moved into second place in the standings. With 34 points, they are now just one point ahead of FC Goa, who have 33.

Cirkovic Opens the Scoring

In the 34th minute, Lazar Cirkovic scored a brilliant goal. After a quick exchange with Javi Hernandez on the flank, Cirkovic seized the ball and sent a powerful shot into the top-right corner, giving Jamshedpur FC the lead.

Siverio Extends the Lead

Shortly after, in the 37th minute, Mohammed Sanan, a graduate of the Reliance Foundation Young Champs (RFYC), made a brilliant run into the box. His shot was saved by FC Goa's goalkeeper, Hrithik Tiwari. However, Javi Siverio was perfectly positioned to tap in the rebound and extend Jamshedpur's lead to 2-0.

FC Goa Responds Just Before Half-Time

Just before the break, FC Goa pulled a goal back. Brison Fernandes passed to Ayush Dev Chhetri, who struck a precise shot into the bottom-right corner, making the score 2-1.

FC Goa Comes Close in the Second Half

In the 57th minute, FC Goa had another chance to equalize. Mohammed Yasir, with help from Sahil Tavora, took a shot from the center of the box. Unfortunately, his shot hit the crossbar, denying FC Goa a chance to level the game.

Siverio Seals the Win for Jamshedpur

Khalid Jamil made a key substitution in the 58th minute, bringing on Mobashir Rahman. This move paid off in the 68th minute when Mobashir delivered a perfectly executed corner kick. Siverio rose above the defenders and headed the ball into the top-left corner, scoring his second goal of the match and securing the 3-1 win for Jamshedpur.

Javi Siverio was the standout player of the match. He completed 17 out of 20 passes, created one goal-scoring opportunity, and scored twice, playing a crucial role in his team’s victory.
