During the press conference, Trump commented on Modi’s negotiating abilities. "He is a much tougher negotiator than me," Trump said. He added, "There is not even a contest." This remark came after Trump announced new tariffs on allies and adversaries alike.

In a personal gesture, Trump gifted Modi a book titled Our Journey Together. The book contains photos from key moments of Trump’s presidency. Inside, Trump wrote, “Mr. Prime Minister, You Are Great.”
