Although the tremors were mild, they were felt across several parts of the capital. As a result, many people rushed into the streets in alarm. Moreover, residents in various residential complexes throughout Delhi-NCR stepped outside to ensure their safety.

While Delhi is not typically prone to strong earthquakes, it is located near the seismically active Himalayan region. Therefore, the city is susceptible to occasional tremors. This proximity makes it important for people to stay alert during such events.

Earthquake Affects Multiple Regions

The earthquake affected areas like Delhi, Noida, Indirapuram, and other parts of the NCR. It struck at a latitude of 28.59 North and longitude 77.16 East, as confirmed by the National Centre for Seismology.
