Radhika Apte recently surprised everyone with a post from the BAFTA Awards 2025. She shared a photo of herself holding a breast-milk pump and a glass of champagne in a washroom. The moment was both candid and humorous, leaving fans stunned.
A Heartfelt Thanks
In her post, Radhika thanked her friend Natasha (@tashtash07) for making the event possible. “I have to thank Natasha @tashtash07 for making it possible for me to attend the BAFTAs. She scheduled the itinerary around my breast pumping timings,” she shared.
She also highlighted the special care she received. “She not only accompanied me to the washroom to express milk but, more importantly, brought me champagne in the loo 😂♥️,” she added. Radhika expressed her gratitude, emphasizing how rare such sensitivity is in the film industry.
New Parents: Radhika and Benedict
Radhika and her husband, Benedict Taylor, are proud new parents. They welcomed their baby girl in December 2024. Just before her delivery, Radhika did a photoshoot for Vogue and shared her honest thoughts on her pregnancy journey.
Surprise Pregnancy
Radhika opened up about the surprise of becoming pregnant. “I started telling people the very next day. It (the pregnancy) wasn’t an accident, but we also weren’t trying. And yet, it still came as a shock,” she explained.
Struggles with Body Image
During pregnancy, Radhika faced several physical changes. “The truth is, I struggled to embrace how I looked at the time. I had never seen myself put on so much weight,” she admitted. She mentioned how her body felt swollen and how lack of sleep affected her perception. “Now, not even two weeks into motherhood, my body looks different again,” she added.
Embracing Change with Kindness
Despite her struggles, Radhika now views her body differently. “There are new challenges, new discoveries, and a different perspective has set in. I look at these photos with much kinder eyes,” she said. Radhika now embraces her changes, knowing she’ll cherish these moments forever.
