Men’s FIH Pro League: India Fights Back to Beat Ireland 3-1 in Hard-Fought Victory
India staged a strong second-half comeback to defeat Ireland 3-1 in a thrilling match.

India fought back in second half to clinch 3-1 victory over Ireland in Men's FIH Pro League. At the start, Ireland gained the advantage in the 8th minute. Jeremy Duncan struck the ball into the ground, launching it over goalkeeper Krishan Bahadur Pathak’s shoulder. Meanwhile, the Irish pushed for another goal, but Pathak made crucial saves, preventing further damage.

Mandeep Singh Levels the Score

However, India gradually fought back. In the 22nd minute, Mandeep Singh dribbled the ball 30 meters before blasting it into the roof of the net. As a result, the home crowd erupted in cheers, and India launched a series of attacks. Yet, despite their efforts, the score remained tied at 1-1 by halftime.

India Dominates the Second Half

After the break, India controlled the game. However, breaking through Ireland’s solid defense proved challenging. Eventually, in the 45th minute, Jarmanpreet Singh managed to beat Irish goalkeeper Jamie Carr with a penalty corner rebound.

Finally, India secured the win in the 58th minute with a clever penalty corner move. Harmanpreet Singh initially faked a shot to the right but then passed back to the stopper. This strategic play set up Sukhjeet Singh, who expertly deflected the ball into the goal.
