Alia Bhatt took a break from shooting to celebrate Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s birthday in Mumbai on Monday. She joined her Love and War co-stars, Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal, for the occasion. Later, she shared pictures from the celebration on Instagram. Additionally, she congratulated Vicky on the massive success of his latest film, Chhaava.

Alia posted a picture where she stood behind Vicky, smiling at the camera. Meanwhile, Bhansali sat between Vicky and Ranbir, grinning. In front of them, a chocolate cake with "Happy Birthday" written on it rested on the table. Two small candles decorated the cake. In another photo, Vicky reached for a piece of cake.
Along with the pictures, Alia wrote: "A quick break from night shoots to celebrate our director (✨). Happy birthday, magician sir! (And happy 3 to our Gangu too). Lastly, many cheers and claps for @vickykaushal09 for absolutely smashing the box office with Chhaava!!! Chalo abhi (So now), party over … back to shoot."

Alia Praises Vicky’s Performance in Chhaava
Earlier, Alia had already praised Chhaava. She shared her thoughts on Instagram Stories and wrote, “Vicky Kaushal! What are you????? Cannot get over your performance in Chhaava! @vickykaushal09.”
Since its release on February 14, the film has shattered box office records. In fact, it has become the highest-grossing Hindi film of 2025, earning over ₹300 crore. Directed by Laxman Utekar, Chhaava is based on Shivaji Sawant’s Marathi novel of the same name.
Alia’s Upcoming Projects
Currently, Alia is filming Love and War, which reunites her with Bhansali. Previously, she worked with him on Gangubai Kathiawadi, a performance that earned her the National Award for Best Actress. Meanwhile, she also has Alpha, co-starring Sharvari, in the pipeline.
