Haifa Bus Station Attack: One Killed, Four Hurt in Shooting and Stabbing
A suspected terror attack in Haifa left one dead and four injured as police investigated rising tensions in Israel.

A 70-year-old man died, and four others suffered injuries in a suspected terror attack in Haifa on Monday. The Magen David Adom Emergency Service confirmed both shooting and stabbing incidents.

Attackers Used Guns and Knives

According to reports, two attackers carried out the assault near a bus station in the city center. One opened fire, while the other stabbed people. As a result, security forces responded quickly and "neutralized" both suspects on the spot.

Police Investigate the Attack

Meanwhile, Israel’s police chief, Daniel Levy, stated that officers are working to confirm the attackers' identities. “The identity of the eliminated terrorist is not yet clear. We are scanning the area to rule out the presence of additional assailants,” he told reporters.

Victims and Location Details

Furthermore, the attack left a teenage boy and a 30-year-old woman injured. It took place in the morning near a shopping center on Histadrut Boulevard in Haifa.

Rising Tensions in Israel

This incident occurred at a time when tensions with Hamas are already high. Just a day earlier, a failed bombing attempt in Tel Aviv resulted in three buses exploding due to suspected homemade devices.

Consequently, authorities have heightened security measures. Videos from Haifa show armed police securing the area as sirens wail.
