Al Green Removed for Violating House Decorum During Trump’s Address
Al Green was removed from the House chamber after repeatedly interrupting Trump's speech, highlighting deep political tensions.

Democratic Representative Al Green was escorted out of the House chamber on Tuesday after he repeatedly interrupted US President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address. Speaker Mike Johnson ordered his removal because Green ignored multiple warnings. Johnson stated that Green had consistently violated House decorum.

Trump’s Speech and Republican Support

At the start of his speech, Trump received loud chants of "USA! USA!" from Republican lawmakers. He highlighted his administration’s actions over the past 43 days. Notably, he focused on reducing the federal government’s size and restructuring it. Moreover, billionaire Elon Musk has played a key role in driving these changes.

Green’s Outburst and Removal

However, as Trump declared, “America is back,” Representative Al Green (D-TX) suddenly shouted objections. Videos captured him loudly criticizing Trump. Although he was warned multiple times, Green refused to stop. As a result, security escorted him out of the chamber.

Trump’s Economic Vision

Following the interruption, Trump resumed his speech without further disruption. He promised to strengthen the nation both domestically and internationally. Furthermore, Republican lawmakers enthusiastically cheered his policy proposals.

"The American Dream is surging—bigger and better than ever before," Trump stated. "The American Dream is unstoppable, and our country is on the verge of a comeback the likes of which the world has never witnessed, and perhaps will never witness again."

He then outlined his economic vision. Despite the positive outlook, concerns remain about his trade war with Canada, China, and Mexico. This conflict has already shaken global markets. Additionally, many fear it will lead to higher prices for American consumers.

A Historic Return to the Capitol

Trump’s speech also marked a historic return to the U.S. Capitol—four years after his supporters stormed the building. Even now, he refuses to fully accept his 2020 election loss. Nevertheless, his presence in the chamber symbolized his continued influence in American politics.
