Actor Sushmita Sen recently met Laapataa Ladies star Nitanshi Goel and praised her performance. Nitanshi’s mother, Rashi Goel, shared a short video of their conversation on Instagram on Saturday.
A Special Moment at the Event
At the event, Nitanshi walked up to Sushmita, who greeted her with a warm hug. Notably, Nitanshi had just won the Best Debut Female award for Laapataa Ladies at the Pinkvilla Screen & Style Icons Edition 4. Expressing her admiration, Sushmita hugged her and said, "Congratulations, what an actor."

Overjoyed, Nitanshi responded, "I'm a huge fan of you, ma'am. You saying this to me has made my day." In reply, Sushmita praised her further, saying, "You're an outstanding actor. You've such a long way to go, my love. So young and so beautiful. Stay grounded."

Shortly after, Nitanshi’s mother, Rashi, shared the video and wrote, "Such a beautiful feeling seeing my favourite @sushmitasen47 ji appreciating my doll @nitanshigoelofficial’s acting." Nitanshi’s Journey in Laapataa Ladies
Meanwhile, Nitanshi continues to earn praise for her role in Laapataa Ladies, directed by Kiran Rao. The film, which premiered in March 2024, tells the story of two brides, Phool (Nitanshi Goel) and Jaya (Pratibha Ranta), who mistakenly get swapped during a train journey. Additionally, the film features actors like Sparsh Shrivastava, Ravi Kishan, Chhaya Kadam, and Geeta Aggarwal Sharma.
Furthermore, the movie was produced by Kindling Pictures, Aamir Khan Productions, and Jio Studios. It is based on an award-winning story by Biplab Goswami. The screenplay and dialogues were written by Sneha Desai, with additional dialogues by Divyanidhi Sharma. Interestingly, the film was India’s official entry for the Oscars 2025, but unfortunately, it did not make the shortlist.
