On April 22, terrorists launched a deadly assault in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. They killed 26 innocent people, most of them tourists. As a result, the nation fell into grief and anger.

Soon after the attack, many citizens demanded a strong response. PM Modi responded by promising strict punishment.

He said, “On April 22, terrorists killed innocent people of the country in J&K’s Pahalgam… The country is sad and in pain after this incident. We stand with the families of the victims… The terrorists will not be spared, strong action will be taken against them… The punishment will be significant and stringent, which these terrorists would have never even thought about.”

India Will Chase Down the Perpetrators

Furthermore, Modi made it clear that India would not rest until it finds and punishes those responsible. He emphasized that the nation’s fight against terrorism remains firm.

He stated, “Today, on the soil of Bihar, I say to the whole world, India will identify, trace and punish every terrorist and their backers. We will pursue them to the ends of the Earth. India’s spirit will never be broken by terrorism. Terrorism will not go unpunished.”
