Interestingly, fans pointed out that this role is quite similar to her previous characters in Quantico and Citadel. As a result, many people are suggesting that Priyanka return to Bollywood for more diverse and meaningful roles.

Fans Want Priyanka to Break the Typecast

One Reddit user commented, "This is the most boring trailer I have seen in a while, and I thought Citadel was the boring one. Hollywood is very similar to Bollywood, which is similar to Netflix these days. Soulless, celeb-packed films with weak stories, cash-making machines, loads of CGI, meh action, and monotone dialogues. It’s time PC breaks this pattern. It's been years, we expect better."

The Head of State trailer begins with a mix of tragic and comic events. The US President (John Cena) and the UK Prime Minister (Idris Elba) realize their plane is under attack. Then, Priyanka enters as MI6 agent Noel Bisset. She single-handedly takes down the attackers and announces there is no backup. This pushes the two heads of state to realize they must work together to survive.

Directed by Ilya Naishuller, Head of State will premiere on Prime Video on July 2. The movie also stars Paddy Considine, Stephen Root, Carla Gugino, Jack Quaid, and Sarah Niles.
