Actor Rakhi Vijan, who was married to Rajeev Tandon, the brother of Bollywood star Raveena Tandon, between 2004 and 2010, recently shared her side of the story regarding their separation. Speaking to Bollywood Thikana, Rakhi made it clear that her breakup with Rajeev had no connection with Raveena or the rest of the Tandon family. She also revealed that Raveena always treated her warmly, like a sibling.

Rakhi Clears the Air About Her Bond With Raveena

While talking about her marriage and divorce, Rakhi explained that she deliberately stayed away from the media. She said that the press often dragged Raveena's name unnecessarily while discussing her personal life.

She explained, "I have tried to avoid the press because they always bring up my past and say something about the family. Raveena and I were like sisters. Let me make it clear. We were really good to each other. Raveena and I had a lot of fun. She treated me like a sister, and I did the same. We would fight, make up, go to parties, enjoy and be loving towards each other."

Through her words, Rakhi stressed that her bond with Raveena remained full of affection, and their friendly relationship was genuine and unaffected by her marital issues.

Relationship with Rajeev Tandon

Further in the interview, Rakhi also spoke about Rajeev, calling him a good person. She clarified that they chose to part ways because their marriage simply didn’t work, not because of any outside influence.

She said, "The person I got married to is also good. We tried, and we separated only because our relationship didn’t work out. But that has got nothing to do with Raveena Tandon, her mother, her father. It was between a couple. So there is no controversy," clearly distancing her personal issues from any larger family drama.

Rakhi Vijan’s Career Highlights

Rakhi Vijan gained fame in the 1990s for playing the beloved character Sweety in the iconic TV show Hum Paanch. She started her acting journey with Dekh Bhai Dekh and later featured in other popular series like Banegi Apni Baat, Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin, and Naagin 4.

Moreover, she participated in the second season of Bigg Boss, although her stint on the show lasted only 12 days before eviction.

Apart from television, Rakhi has also appeared in several films. Her filmography includes titles like Money Hai Toh Honey Hai, Golmaal Returns, and Krrish 3.
