Khushi Kapoor Reflects on Fame, Fashion, and Finding Her Safe Space
Khushi Kapoor opens up about handling fame, setting personal boundaries, and finding comfort in self-expression and family support.

Many people think Khushi Kapoor is used to fame. After all, she is the daughter of the late Bollywood star Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor. However, Khushi says that growing up in the spotlight hasn’t made public life easy.

In fact, she admitted in an interview that the constant attention can feel overwhelming. Yet, she chooses to keep some parts of her life away from the public. As she explained, “Being in the public eye definitely comes with its pressures, especially when it comes to balancing openness with privacy.”

Despite the Fame, She Sets Clear Boundaries

Although Khushi grew up under public attention, her 2023 debut in The Archies pushed her even further into the limelight. Still, she finds ways to protect her peace. According to her, “I’m mindful about keeping certain things just for myself and the people closest to me.”

Moreover, she stressed the importance of personal limits. “Setting those boundaries has been important for my peace of mind,” she added. She believes one can be genuine without revealing everything. “It’s all about finding that balance where I feel safe, grounded, and true to myself,” she said.

Her Career in Films Has Helped Her Grow

Furthermore, Khushi said working in Bollywood helped her discover herself. However, the journey wasn’t easy. She said, “The entertainment industry has fostered personal growth and self-discovery. It hasn’t always been smooth sailing but I’ve learned to prioritise my personal journey.”

In addition, she relies on a strong support system. She noted that progress takes time, saying, “Growth is gradual.”

She Chooses Meaningful Roles

After her debut, Khushi became very selective about her projects. She prefers stories that help her improve both personally and professionally. She explained, “I seek out narratives that challenge and foster personal and artistic growth.”

At the same time, she values honesty in her everyday life. “Maintaining authenticity in my personal life—through my style, advocacy, and interactions—is equally vital,” she said.

She Works With Brands That Reflect Her Values

Besides acting, Khushi chooses brand campaigns carefully. She has acted in films like Loveyapa and Nadaaniyan. She also collaborated with brands that support her beliefs. For example, she recently partnered with fashion label AZORTE for its #YourSafeSpace campaign.

The campaign focused on self-expression and personal identity. Khushi said, “I align myself with brands that carry a profound message and address pertinent issues.”

Self-Expression Matters to Her

Interestingly, the campaign’s message was personal to her. Khushi admitted she faced self-esteem issues growing up. She said, “Growing up with self-esteem struggles, I’ve learned how powerful self-expression can be.”

In her view, fashion reflects one’s identity. As she put it, “Fashion, to me, is a personal statement.”

Family Is Her Comfort Zone

In conclusion, Khushi shared what gives her the most comfort. She said, “My safe space is with my family and close friends, especially my sister Janhvi (Janhvi Kapoor).” She further added, “My safe space is wherever I feel understood, supported, and free to be myself.”
