Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will face Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the IPL 2025 final. Both teams are looking to lift their first-ever IPL trophy. The final match will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The game will begin at 7:30 PM.
RCB Entered the Final Comfortably
RCB had a strong season. They finished second on the points table with 9 wins and 4 losses from 14 matches. In Qualifier 1, they dominated PBKS. First, they bowled them out for just 101 runs in Mullanpur. Then, they chased the target with ease. As a result, they won by 8 wickets with 60 balls to spare.
PBKS Took the Longer Route
On the other hand, PBKS had to fight harder. After losing to RCB, they moved to Qualifier 2. There, they faced Mumbai Indians (MI) on Sunday. MI posted a massive total of 203/6. Even so, PBKS stayed confident. Captain Shreyas Iyer led from the front. He played a brilliant innings and remained unbeaten on 87.
Thanks to his knock, PBKS pulled off a memorable chase. In fact, they became the first team to successfully chase 200+ runs against MI in IPL history. With this win, PBKS reached the final after a gap of 11 years.
Pitch Report
Moving on to the pitch, the Narendra Modi Stadium is known to favour batters. In this season, 6 out of 8 matches here were won by teams batting first.
However, dew often sets in during the second innings. As a result, chasing becomes easier. Therefore, the captain winning the toss may prefer to bowl first.
Weather Report
As far as the weather is concerned, conditions look good. There is no rain expected. However, it will be hot and humid. Temperatures are likely to stay between 27°C and 35°C.
