Final Destination Returns with a Bang, Bloodlines Hits ₹65 Crore Mark
Final Destination: Bloodlines stuns with massive Indian box office success, becoming the highest-grossing film in the franchise.

The latest film in the Final Destination series, Bloodlines, is doing extremely well at the Indian box office. According to reports, the movie earned around ₹6.5 crore (USD 750K) over the weekend. This took its total earnings in India to more than ₹65 crore (USD 7.6 million).

Plot and Direction

Directed by Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein, the film follows a college student played by Kaitlyn Santa Juana. She inherits visions from her grandmother—premonitions that once prevented a deadly collapse. Now, she’s warned that “Death is coming for her family.” Fourteen years after the last installment, this movie is a “re-imagining” of the popular horror franchise.

Breaking Records

The film has exceeded all expectations. It is now the second-highest grossing Hollywood horror movie in India, just behind The Conjuring 2 which made ₹83.25 crore in 2016. This success is even more impressive because Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning, starring Tom Cruise, released the same weekend.

Strong Global Performance

Despite tough competition, Bloodlines has kept growing. It has made over USD 232 million globally. This makes it the highest-grossing film in the Final Destination series and the ninth biggest global film of 2025.

Cult Following and Market Growth

The Final Destination franchise always had fans in India. However, earlier films struggled at the Indian box office due to fewer screens and limited access to Hollywood films. Things have changed now. With more theaters and growing interest in global horror films, Bloodlines has finally become a blockbuster.

Outperforming Big Titles

In its second week, Bloodlines outdid several big Hollywood titles in India. These include Thor: Love and Thunder, Jurassic World: Dominion, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

India Emerges as a Key Market

Globally, India has become one of the top-performing markets for the film. It stands just behind the UK and Mexico. When it comes to ticket sales, India is competing closely with Mexico and may even finish as the second-best market for Bloodlines.
