Katy Perry returned to social media on June 27, just one day after news broke that she and Orlando Bloom had ended their nearly six-year engagement. The singer, 40, posted a series of cheerful photos from her visit to Rottnest Island in Australia.
She simply captioned the post, “mood: Quokka.”

A Day in Nature Brings Smiles
Perry spent the day surrounded by nature and her daughter, Daisy. She smiled in photos next to a quokka — a small marsupial found only in southwestern Australia. In another image, she pointed to a chocolate version of the animal at a shop.
She also shared clips of herself laughing with her team on a boat and playing with birds on the beach. In one fun video, she joined her team in what she jokingly called “brain rot.”
Daisy Joins the Adventure
One photo showed Daisy from behind, sitting at what looked like a ship’s wheel. The four-year-old wore a knit top and sweatpants with her hair in a bun. Perry wore casual clothes — a jacket, leggings, sneakers, and a cap. She also played cards after a bike ride.
These photos were taken just hours before Perry’s performance in Adelaide, part of her Lifetimes tour. Despite the personal news, she looked happy and focused.

A source confirmed the breakup on June 26. The source said, "They're pretty much done," and added, "don’t really see them being able to turn things around here."
Perry and Bloom first met at a Golden Globes afterparty in 2016. They got engaged in 2019 and welcomed their daughter in August 2020. Bloom also shares a son, Flynn, with ex-wife Miranda Kerr.
